Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats, we are ready to begin the ceremony. Who is ready for a wedding!! Who is ready for Celia and Justin to tie the knot!!

The bride and groom have requested an unplugged ceremony so that you can be present and in the moment. We ask that you kindly put your phones on silent and away for the duration of the ceremony. The wedding photographer will be the only one taking photos…thank you.

• Justin steps down to the bottom of the platform and waits for Celia
• Celia walks down the aisle; Justin escorts Celia up the steps to the officiant

Opening to Prayer

Wedding ceremonies can often fly by, especially for the couple. Celia and Justin would like to take a few minutes to be centered and present in this wonderful moment.

I invite each of you to close your eyes, take a deep breath and relax into the words of our opening prayer.

Opening Prayer:

We ask that the air in this room be purified and rarified with every positive creative atom of the universe.
We ask that our thoughts be filled with love, joy and affirmation in and around this most sacred of unions.

We ask that you surround Justin and Celia with only the very best and the very highest, as they pledge their vows to each other today and celebrate the love they have for each other.

We ask all of this in your name, in your spirit, in your truth.
As it is spoken, so it shall be, amen.

Hand Fasting:

Celia and Justin have chosen to include in their ceremony a traditional handfasting. This is a symbolic binding of the hands that inspires the terms “Bonds of Holy Matrimony”.

I will now ask the best man to come forward and place the wedding rings in their palms.

Helping each other in daily life and works, may you find fulfillment.
Loving each other through dark and light times, may you find power.
As you hold hands, may you warmly hold one another’s hearts.
Look deeply into one another’s eyes now… and promise to always see one another through the eyes of love.

Your love and bond existed before you two ever met.
Your hearts have already joined together in harmony.
Marriage may only be a piece of paper to some, a formality.
Truthfully, marriage is a conscious intention, before the Universe, that you will vow to love and support each other indefinitely.
By creating this intention of marriage, you are establishing your reality, which solidifies your commitment as authentic beings of eternal love.

So, while this is a celebration of love and commitment, we have come to the moment in the ceremony where you will be officially joined together.

I now invite the witnesses to join the couple at the signing table.

Introduction:

In a moment, I will announce the newlyweds. Once Celia and Justin leave the Chapel, you may join them in the garden for photos.

But… there is one more thing for Celia and Justin to do…we are going to announce to the world around us that Celia and Justin are married, the old school way, by ringing the chapel wedding bell.

Ladies and gentlemen, please stand and cheer as I introduce for the first time… the newlyweds…
